Spent the weekend at pyramid lake, with "Angryjosh" and the family. Went out all day Saturday, pulled the motor yesterday with my pops, replaced the pan gasket, put motor back in and was back out there all day today. 👌🏽

Only think I need to figure out now is restricting water flow to allow the block to heat up more than 140 and bring down pressure

The water is flowing through your block at mach 2.  It doesn't have a lot of time to transfer heat.  A lot of heat energy is removed by the high volume of water flowing through the cooling system.

Watch your oil temp.  Water temperature is irrelevant.
