Being a procrastinator sucks! :banghead:

Leaving for Laughlin in the morning. Pulled the boat out for the first time since last August.
Put steering wheel and rack back together.
Washed, lubed, check for leaks, made sure water lines were tight, charged battery ... I'm tired.
Still have to wax and polish and pack  :P.

Thought I'd pull the loader from the Canyon and check it out since it hasn't been out in 20 years. It had 1/4" stainless bolts in it...... I got 2 out. The other 2 broke the bit on my impact driver. Wound up drilling the heads off to get the loader out. Vise grips did nothing on the first one but make a mess of what was left above the surface, so started drilling a pilot so I could drill it bigger to thru bolt it. You know what happened.  :banghead: The ONLY good part about that is it's one of the pads I can get to from the backside to drill it out..... with a right angle drill. The other bolt I drilled a pilot, collapsed the threads and got it out.
So I now have three 5/16" holes to thru bolt it, and waiting on a right angle drill head and pilot bits due in tomorrow. Doesn't get any better than this..... :sly:

Finally got the broken bit and bolt out, drilled thru and have grade 8's on order. Would have had to pull the motor to fix this if I hadn't found the right angle drill head. Best $25 I've ever spent.....

Where you going to take it? Pyramid or Elsinore? I still haven't tried Pyramid yet, kind of expecting to get kicked out for loud headers. I'll want to open it up which doesn't sit well with the low speed limit there either. I might go to Elsinore Sunday, I know it's low, but manageable from my standpoint.

More like this week. Changed T valve, changed oil (water in the oil from bad T valve and wrong set up). Ran it on the lake with some cheaper oil to clean things out a bit. Changed oil again to the pricey stuff. Removed headers and took them to get ceramic coated (black) they were all blue from water at idle but no water at higher rpm (wrong set up thing). Adjusted valves and now waiting for the headers to come back. By the way I just bought the boat.
