i don't have a oil temp gauge but at time do run the boat pretty hard and I do have some decent hp. Just want a little insurance that I'm not going to bake the oil

No... it's a Miersch valve that I've had for a while on the shelf. Took it off the Crusader to replace with a Ralls valve and since its just been sitting, figured what the hell... and put it on the Gullwing. It's gonna get black anodized this week with other parts.

One step closer... and 2 bucks deeper in this "clean up" job.

Hoping to go for "Most Improved" this year at the Southwind Regatta... lol!

Does this look like it's the same valve as yours? I was told mine was an old mills valve. I believe you were saying the miersh was a copy of a mills, is there any way to tell the two apart?

Got half of the lifters torn down inspected and cleaned. Will be sitting in oil when the other 8 are done. Except two that will be blocked to check ptv

Got everything layed out and cleaned up with the exception of the cam. Everything else is ready for final wipe down and blow off then install

But won't have the block and crank back til Monday or Tuesday.

Check clearances then hopefully slam it together

Got started on motor rebuild for the BBC,
Getting the top end all redone do to so minor issues last summer several broken spring washers and bent valve, little things like that. Lol Do time for an up grade.

Ran the #*#*#*# out of it and blew the pump bearing into shrapnel....now I'm crying over it with a room temperature Tecate. No lime just me and my boat....alone in the garage. SADNESS is the best I can do.
