Picked up a set of long collector Bassett headers like the boat is supposed to have...now just to have them coated or not.... Original cover fits as it should now too 👍

Was nice enough here in st.louis to take it out and do some testing. Had a couple of friends meet up as well. I'm getting way too much water in my headers. Tried adjusting the pressure on the gate valve but didnt help any. I'm gonna order a new Bassett t valve and see if that changes things

Pull the t off and check the spring and ball in it.....your spring maybe stuck or broke....the spring i think is 11$ cheaper then buying the whole thing

This is what I was going to suggest. I had the same issue one time after checking my ball and spring. It turns out the spring has a taper to it and the ball went into the spring. So just make sure the little end of the spring, goes towards the ball.

It has been raining for a day and a half here in stl so me and my boy Frank went to the storage unit and messed with the boat. Ordered a new bassett T on monday night and it got here Wednesday evening.....took the other off and apart and think I found the problem

Tested the new carb today at the lake. There was another jet out there with a ford 460.....raced 5 times and won all 5 and only used about a gallon and a half of gas

I had a 750 edelbrock performer....and with the 800 avs2 big difference no bogging when i get in the throttle and much better fuel economy
