Since 1982 I've been doing direct current electrical installation and troubleshooting. Since 1987 I've been installing car stereo's. For a few years I installed home security, home theatre, survailence camera's, etc... Also for a few years I did window tinting. For 11 years I've been repairing vehicles for insurance companies. The yob I have now employ's all of those skills minus the window tinting and home stuff. One of my many sidelines for the last few years has been on eBay.

Basically whatever I can get my hands on that makes cash quickly.   :-X

Props deliver power no two cocks about it.
A jet can run with a prop but it takes alot more power to do it.
This is basic knowledge that I picked up at at Winco in the smart section.

19' Tahiti Vs a 20' Sea-Ray? Yea, they really tip the scales at the same weight!  How much more do ya' think that 20' cuddy sea ray weighs? And it still goes the same speed as the Tahiti...Not bad for a white guy...

Hey CHROMEY...Does putting a programmer on a duramax void the factory warranty?
well yes and no...all the programmers out there like bully dog / edge / superchip / hypertec have a factory reset non program mode...if you have to go in to dealer for fact warranty repairs(involving computer) you can retreave the factory setting and just take it in ...no problems...dealer or factory rep has to prove the programer caused the issue.....all the co's have great customer service and tech support...we have the bully dog "try before u buy " program its free usually good for 2-3- days to try it out..and see what your truck can do......

yeah, Ive worked those projects too...most were planned terribly and turned out to be huge financial disasters....its the cost of getting a project manager with no technical background and thinks he knows everything.....i was the guy who had to take it apart then put it all back together on the other end.

According to the website Barstow was the first opened in 1964.
http://www.deltaco.com/dthistory/
For me Naugles in El Centro (now Del Taco) was the place to go after a weekend at Glamis.  Then later it become Del Taco and was still a good place to hit after the river or Glamis.  Don't bother with the new one in Yuma it sucks.

Oh and to keep on task...I am an accountant/controller for a software company. ;D

Damn now I think I have to go to Del Taco for breakfast tomorrow.  Egg, bean & cheese burrito here I come!!! :o

MMMmmmmm   Naugleburgers followed by a hot fudge brownie sundae.  Actually up until about 18 months ago when my buddy's mother-in-law retired, the original Corona location was by far the best. Extra cheese standard, double seasoning in the ground beef, extra large portions of every thing especially the combo and egg burritos. June took a lot of flak from corporate but her receipts were always so high they couldn't bitch too much. Sad to see how far they have gone downhill since she retired.
Oh and if anyone cares, the WORST DelTaco has to be the one on Waterman and Barton where LomaLinda, GrandTerrace Colton collide.

Sorry about the thread jack I just love food -- work not so much.

Mmm Naugles  ;D

Anyone around Riverside in the mid 80's when the RPD would block off Market St to cruising?   Everyone would cruise from Market St in down town west past Tyler Mall and hang out in the Gemco parking lot.  Many nights were spent waiting for midnight so we could go to Naugles for egg burritos.

I'm getting the munchies  ;D

aaaahhhhh Naugles........ 405 at Western in Gardena....... early 80's...... every muscle car in town was in that parking lot. then we'd drive about a mile away to Knox St for the street races. There was a school teacher of legend that used to bring his Pro-gas Vega down there...... pretty insane!!

Just your friendly, not so run of the mill IT guy working at Aerospace Dynamics International in Valencia, CA.

Company has had a major management change and things are on the upswing. We manufacture large complex airframe parts for Boeing, Lockheed, Raytheon, etc. etc. You know the big orange tank on the space shuttle? We make most of the parts for it. We have some pretty cool machinery.

haha, ya. I'm a nerd by day, V8-boat fanatic by night/weekend.

I still have a lot of learning to do obviously, for both work and play. But I'm always surrounded by people who are truly pros whether it's IT crap, manufacturing, engines, or jet pumps.

I run a a sheetmetal shop for a HVAC/plumbing contractor. I build commercial ductwork, and install rooftop air conditioners. I have been there for five years. Its a family owned business, and they pretty much let me have run of the shop on weekends. One of the coolest toys I have is a computer controlled plasma cutter, so I am always making things. Right now I am finishing up a carb scoop for my new boat!

It's the largest Electric and Gas company in the state and I spent 20 years as a IBEW Union member working on crews and then got too fat and old and have since been in management. Now I've been a Manager for over 10 years and I keep pinching myself thinking, when are they gonna wake up and realize what a putz I am???

Most of you Know us/me  from JBP but we also operate another 23 year old business .We (Rhonda and I)  operate (within the corporation) a California state wide company with 14 workers that provides mechanical damage inspections and expert witness work to Auto Insurance & Warranty/Vehicle Service contract companies, Auto manufacturers and Attorneys and the courts . Often  when you call me I'm on the road (cell picks up shop calls), my day starts at around 6 and ends at 8 (a lot of my assignments come from the East coast) I travel to the surrounding areas (50 mile radius) almost every day. Then when I get back to JBP I change clothes and "Hats" ;D I'm am a ASE certified Auto tech and a qualified Automotive expert witness in 5 California municipal and Superior court jurisdictions (I'm also a hopeless workaholic)  :banghead: Tom

ps If it wasn't for Rhonda and Josh I could never do this prior to JBP I averaged 90 K miles a year for 6 years running traveling between Thousand oaks and San Jose  ;)  www.amccinspections.com

You would end up starving to death working for the UP.  They really cut back on what they pay employees.  Instead of getting paid for the mile they just pay a set rate no matter how many miles you run.  Now if your applying for a machinist or electrician then I would say go for.

I started to work in 29 palms in 1947 washed Windows on cars pumped gas by hand in Chevron Station Gas .30cent gal  my dads station, 600 hundred people lived there no Marine base only lizards , snakes and turtles I cleaned shop drained oil from empty cans in bottles to sell my money.
filled pop machine water type, 5cent pop each.  filled water bags each morning be fore school . I hated when the circus came to town they had Chevron credit card and I had to help pump gas up by hand to glass tank and let fill tank. One swimming pool , move show and one bowling Ailey, had to have old hose in bike tires to ride bike puncture vines. killed bike tires. the only
good thing there was Pioneer Days. I don't even drive through there on my way home To Riverside from River. :banghead: moved to Riverside in 1949 thank god. AND GOD BLESS YOU MARINES

"Private Real Estate Investor" is what my accountant labeled me about 10 years ago. I buy and sale Real Estate , Commercial, Residential to Vacant tracts of land, I fix and resale, fix and rent what ever I can do to make some bucks, I also mortgage some of my sales myself, Hate to see a bank make that interest $. I buy most from Bankruptcy, Sheriff or Tax sales.  RR
