What's Home Improvement? if that means is the Blower finally off my kitchen counter, yes it is! I succeeded! Other than that, my time is still spent in or around the garage thinking of other problems I can subject myself to. (Anyone think a Small Block Chevy doesn't have the balls for a jet boat? That's the latest thing I've found myself toying with).

I have a friend that has a 383 SBC in a Hawaiian with a YJ pump that runs 60's.

Ray was at Depot today, whats with the 90 employees standing in every aisle, "can I help you", "Help you find something"??? Thought I was at Lowes!

LOL! That's been the company's program for a year now. Vegas is just catching on. That's NOT, however, how they're supposed to do it,  ;)

If you want to have some fun with it, do what I did at the local store here in plumbing when this kid said "can I help you?" (I hate that line, might as well say "Go to hell"). I said "sure, hooking up an overboard dump on my boat, what do I need?"

Left me alone after that.

How do I get that program at the Home Depot I shop at? Help me out Ray.....mine is like a freakin ghost town every time I walk in there. I was there a couple Saturdays ago at 10:00 in the morning and I HAD to use self check out (which I hate. I feel like I am costing somebody thier job) because there was not ONE checkstand open :mad:

Well Bob, All HD's are on (Supposedly) the program. PM me what store (Either location with zip or store number on your receipt). Rest assured the DSM and Store manager are gonna have a REALLY bad couple of weeks, lol.

Dunno what to tell ya dude. I take back EVERYTHING and ANYTHING. Made a big speech a couple years ago that I didn't care if a Bayliner was pulled up to returns, we'd find a SKU and return it. (Little did I know then what I was subjecting myself to on getting into boats, but I wanted one!).

True story, I can give you phone numbers to verify it.

The actual program is simply take care of the freaking customer. Not in such terms, but that's what it means. Apparently, from what I'm gathering, the So Cal stores are not participating, for the most part. Not good for them, VERY good for me as I'm ranked against them. In your case, what's a couple gallons of paint? maybe $150? I throw more than that away, every day, before 9AM, and i guarantee they do too!

Long and the short of it is this. We all know the people ripping us off and taking advantage, but we apply that to everyone. Human nature. Your local store manager, and DSM, need to get on the program or their replacements will figure it out first. Period. It's ZERO TOLERANCE. If you want to see this in action, call our AWARE line, I forget the number, but trust me, heads WILL roll over something as stupid as this. Just take the FOKKING paint back, lol. (I know for a fact we've lost 6 So Cal store managers in the last 5 months due to this kinda crap).

Granted, I'm in trouble every Monday for markdowns, but in the end, when we come out of this, I'm gonna be the shining star, trust me, for the customer service now.

I think this is funny because we were talking economy vaugly and it turned into home depot...now this is funny because everyone is mia because the jobless economy puts the mia people in turn in front of home depot

I've been busy at work. But I'm getting a new project to work on (basically finished boat less engine ;D ). As to the economy, one thing sells better when the economy is bad. Alcohol. Guys either want to drown their sorrows or find something to make them happy for a minute (this helps prostitution too lol).

Been pouring my time and money into my quad  :banghead: The hondo hasn't been getting much attention, but should be getting the shortblock together this weekend at least  :screwy:

I'm always ass backwards, when Dune season starts I start overhauling the bike for new shit, and when river season starts I start doing work to one of the boats to make it bigger and better... someone knock some sense into me  >:(

I doubt I will have it done by then, but I'm really going to try and have her floating by June/July. I will still have to buy 2 dominator carbs & fuel pump/regulator and starter, alternator, etc.
