Why hello there
« on: May 24, 2012, 11:06:32 AM »
Hello everyone, I just registered here on the word of some guy I was talking to in Blythe about this place, thought I'd come over and check it out. I've been boating since I was a baby, runs in the blood. Over the years the family has owned a ton of different boats, flat bottom jets, i/o deep-v, but the longest that we've had in our family is a youngblood 21' jet.

I recently pulled it out of the garage after a 15 year hiatus (Dad passed away and I just couldn't pull the boat out) dropped a new 454 in it and have been going out just about every weekend since. I'm down this weekend with a leaking fuel pump and a gdamn burnt plug (asdasfasfd). But I'll be out again next weekend south of Blythe @ McIntyre park (the place I had been going since I was ~12 or so).

I'm looking forward to getting to know the people here and finding other likeminded boaters. I'm a computer nerd by trade, heavily into networking, security, linux, etc...so if you have questions about that sort of thing I can probably help you out or point you in the right direction.

Before my dad's death he had purchased the mold for the youngblood, here in San Diego, it was placed in storage in Spring Valley, I thought that my neighbor was maintaining it but apparently he let it slip away. If anyone in the area knows where that mold is I would very much like to talk to you.

I'll put up a few pics of the boat for you're viewing pleasure.

Nice to meet you all :)

5150, hey man whats up, yeah I finally got around to registering, I've been meaning to for a bit. Thanks for the tip this place looks like it'll be a good resource for me!

Also Brad, there's not really any hard feelings, I should've stayed on top of it to be honest, but when pops died it kind of ruined a lot of us for a while...so shit happens I guess.

Welcome! Is your boat a gullwing? If it really is a 21' winger you have yourself a super rare boat. Like maybe the only one still left rare.
