Would this work?? Mini Starter
« on: June 02, 2007, 11:34:59 PM »

Would sure make a little more room for work space if needed to work in that area; it was quite difficult today to pull my starter with the engine in the boat.

You should buy the exact same starter for a big block Chevy, then sell it to me for 1/2 price because you bought the wrong one. I happen to need one.   ;D

Yeah, that'll work, spin your engine faster, get it to start quicker and easier, less wear and tear on your engine as well.

I put those on everything at work, they work great. I think you can pick one up at a speed shop for around a hunski...and no shipping. Dont think theres a difference in small block big block, is the stater on the opposite side on a 455? I have a '70 442 at work right now, cant remember.

From inside the boat, looking at the front of the engine, it's on the right side.

Thanks for the info; I had a hard time getting the starter out and this one seems it would be a breeze to install, and remove when it came to that again.

... Dont think theres a difference in small block big block...

That's a cool thing about the Olds V8's, 350, 403 ?, 455, 421 ?, they all use the same starter, distributor, overhaul gasket set, etc...
