Emerald Cove resort.....

I may be going in August

Anyone know of this place

Is it a decent place to go for a freeboard challenged boat

Is it a seadoo nitemare

Any input would be appreciated, cause I need to make my mind up about going pretty quick. LMK guys. Mark

I have a membership and store my trailer there 7 months out of the year.

It's a fairly nice place to stay. Great if you have kids (swimming pools, kids club, miniature golf...)

Most days there is plenty of space to anchor a boat and leave it all weekend but the big holidays I try to avoid the place or plan on trailering the boat whenever you're not using it.

The water flow is normally not a big deal (box anchor and bungie rope) but the wake boats will get the chop going pretty bad

As far as seadoos it's not really a problem, because when I'm boating I'm running up or down river (not hanging around the area).

I can get you a 3 night free guest pass (if you're willing to listen to their sales pitch).

Thanks for the info crew. the friends we are supposed to go with I guess have a membership also. Said wwe can get our trailer on there as a guest for like 20 bucks a nite. I just never been there so I have to ask the questions, like do they have the trailer hookups also

I am guessing so seeing as you keep your trailer there. Also thanks for the offer, I think

they is the ones that keep calling me and sending me stuff in the mail, trying to get my ass out there. But I threw all the stuff away, so maybe a mistake. Keep offering a free week or so, and I am sure I would have to listen to a sales pitch

staying in one of the cottages, in C row.I dont know if its part of the resort or not, got the hook up from a buddy who is a member.

My vacation got pushed back, so the wife and daughter will be going out on Wednesday and I'll get there on Friday night.

If any of you guys are still around, look for the Beige/Orange Hondo (I should be beach front somewhere).

One more thing. Be very careful with bringing the boat in to put on the trailer. The ramp dumps right into the flow of the river, not to bad to launch but can be difficult to get back on the trailer the first couple times.

A little river launch trick for you all.....Angle the trailer in the river in such a way that you have to drive up river to get the boat on the trailer, it will make slop look the same as skill.......

You will need to leave the trailer somewhat shallow to make it work.

My cousin has a cottage there this weekend. Not enough room in it for us to stay in (stayed in one 2 years ago and I had to sleep in the fetal position in the 2nd bedroom) But I am sure you will see us around. Look for the purple n white Eliminator. We will show up sometime on Saturday.

GT thats a good one that I have used before, especially at Laughlin where the water is running FAST

and it does make you look like a PRO

hey CCheif have a good one bud, and it is the place I won a free week from. So i now have to figure out what the hell I am going to do. I know I will have to listen to their spiel. I know what you have said, I guess i am waiting for the other guys opions also. I do really want to check some other place out. And NO its Not Friday yet

If I knew then what I know know about the water conditions, I would try to find something on the Big River side of the dam. But overall E-Cove has been a good place to stay and I feel that my daughter is pretty safe there.

That is the Parker strip at its worst.

Most of the time it is mild to medium rough.

Holiday weekends it can be horrible
