Don't get yourself roped into Emerald Cove without doing lots of research on all the other places along the river.

Just a guess on Crew chiefs part.  That area is always a Zoo and the water is ruff as hell in that area.  If your looking for the party side of Parker you will be close.  Most of us stay below the dam at Blue water lots of places to stay on the lower river.  I do go to Parker for the weekend but late in the year ( October) most of the time.  It all just depends on what you are looking for and does it have to be on the Parker strip.

Check out Sandbar Resort.. That's the place right next to Foxes. I've always had a good time there... The owners Jason and Donielle are super cool too.

I would check out a few spots on the lower river Big River RV park.  Or the Riviera in Blythe is a good spot however I'm not sure if the have the services that you are looking for you would have to give them a call.  Castle Rock is run down but in a nice spot on the river it is on the quiet side the river and the park and they do have the services that you are looking for.  I great place is the state park 1/4 up river from Castle Rock called River Island 25.00 a night real clean with a nice cove you would have to find another storage place for your trailer.  Good luck and have fun

Checkout the thread I started on here titled, "Big Bend RV Park". I just secured an RV spot at Sunshine and looked at quite a few. I recommend staying above Foxes where the water is much better. I recommend pulling the trigger on something soon. The snowbirds are leaving and spots are opening up now. Especially if you want riverfront.

That is the truth. If your going to go that route find a resale.  I found one for 1,000 plus the transfer fee of 1400, but I went another direction.

It's a timeshare. Max two weeks and then you have to be off for a week.  The memberships are around 9 to 10k. You get unlimited stays at all their parks.  They will talk you into a free stay, free gas card, and then try to pressure into buying a membership. You can pickup memberships for a lot cheaper online. Some people are just trying to unload them. Last year I found a guy who wanted to give his away. You just had to pay the transfer fee of 1400.  When you go into transfer they pressure you into upgrading. I heard they put the screws to a little old lady and she ended up paying a ton of money for a resale. There are yearly fees also around 350.  Having said that Emerald Cove is not a bad park, large comfortable beach, store, pool, snack bar. I'm lazy though. I don't want to set up and breakdown camp every time I go out. They also have a park in Needles.  Google Colorado River Adventures for more info.

AZ side, I would look at Castle Rock.  Decent water and a marina. You can tie your boat up out of the current, don't have to beach or deal with an anchor. Amenities are a little rough but doable. Store, restaurant and gas across the street.

We have always just camped and tried all the places.  This year we have reserved a spot at the Riviera in Blythe for 6 months.  It is not the cheapest place but pretty nice place to stay 429.00 a month plus utilities.  Not cheap but will be nice to leave the pontoon there and just pull the winger up.  No more setting up every week fly up for the day a lot more options this way.  I will let you know how this all works out for us.  I would have preferred Mc Intyre park but a long waiting list for a spot.

I can pull the trailer off and you can jump to the front of the waiting list and put yours on the spot for a small fee of course.

Everyone is within walking distance.  The spot has an out door shower a canopy and a shed. Asking 6 for the whole thing so maybe 3 without the trailer.

Why do you say that and do you have any places you can suggest I want to be on the az side

I dumped my Emerald Cove membership last year after having it for seven years.  The initial purchase price was steep but I accepted that, the problem came when the annual maintenance fees kept going up every year ($400+).  What really pissed me off the most was one of the sales tactics they used was that all future parks would be included in my package... Well, when they wanted and additional $3000 to be able to use the new park at Havazoo Springs, I was done.  That was my issue with the management, my other issues have to do with the suck ass water conditions all along the Parker Strip.  It's pretty bad when I'm considering a Parker only boat and save my Hondo for everywhere else.

I don't have any suggestions for camp grounds yet because I've been using the local motels/casinos lately.  As for better water conditions for our type of boats I like Needles, Big River, Blythe and Yuma.  All have their advantages and drawbacks but being able to run the boat without being absolutely aggravated at the crappy ass water is amazing.

Good luck in your search.
