Camping on the river?

What is the best place on the river to camp ( TRAVEL TRAILER) thanks for the help?

I say any campground below the Parker strip. From big river down to Martinez.
McIntyre is cool, mayflower, big river. Just a few I've done

I have heard a lot of McIntyre but is it better then lost lake? Never been there? Im a long time lover of the water wheel. So i love the the river. I had never been to McIntyre is it even worth the the time to go there?

It depends on what you want out of the river. You want rocks and a lot of hot rod boats above the dam is good. We have some hot rod boats and sandy beaches as far as the eye can see. I call Mac home and I love it there. Can't knock it till ya try it.

I always liked buckskin state park
They have some full hook up spots and they have gas, on land and water, a little store, a place to eat and a arcade for the kiddos
The launch sucks thou.

I agree with Buckskin State park, I have been going out there for 20 years now. Nice all around facility, free hookups for power and water lots of trees and green grass. The restaurant and store right there is a big plus, and you cant beat $3.49 pitcher beers...

..I'll be leaving to out there tomorrow afternoon.

X2 . I haven't stayed at other places on Parker, but Buckskin is pretty nice. If you get a spot without full hookups (sewer), they have a dump station right there in the park. The issue with the ramp is you drop in across the flow of the river. It's not too bad, but you might have to work at getting the boat to stay lined up on the trailer when taking it out.

I've only been to McIntyre once. We went last year for the day and thought it was awesome. You launch into a little lagoon area (no current) and has a beach right there to put the boat on while you park the truck. Nice stretch of river. The wife wasn't a fan of the bathrooms by the launch and the store was ok. $10 for day use was pretty good also.

Just watch out for the regulars that stay in the park.

Hallett 1974, Jake's obviously started into the Fireball way early. The river below the diversion dam sucks ass! Not recommended for boats PERIOD! Crocodiles, snakes, even sharks, so thick you could walk on them. Plus, there is no such thing as a beach. Shear cliffs, jagged rocks, riptides! Nope, not recommended for boats, especially jet boats.

Now Buckskin!!.....I hear that place is off the hook! Naked supermodels everywhere and the water tastes just like Coors Light! Ya, that's where the real boaters go!!! Just lookin out for you bro.

I stayed at the Riviera a month or so ago. It was pretty cool for the most part. They have bungalows you can rent if you don't have a trailer and don't want to tent camp. They have showers bathroom and a pool/jacuzzi. Also a arcade for kids and a store. But the launch ramp there I thought sucked. It has a drop off on one side. And it's a small lagoon you launch in. And at the end of the day when it get shallow, it's hard to get back in you have to walk it in one the sandbar. But it was still fun!

If you stay at Buckskin and don't want to use the launch ramp
Go up to River Island State Park and tell them your staying at buckskin and you launch for free. The parks are affiliated.
Much nicer ramp to deal with
