Never been down that way of the river in my jet. Not familiar with what goes on around there.
Is it only a camp ground for trailer/motorhome hook up? Are there any hotels, or homes near by to rent?
This was my first trip to that part of the river. i usually go to Blythe as it is only an hour and a half door to ramp, but i was impressed. like all places, it has its pro's & con's.
The Pro's
The water was cold and super clear. Unbelievably refreshing to jump into and visability was 25' +.
Really a pretty area, especially below the bridge towards Havasu.
The havasu sand bar was off the hook.
The Con's
larger boats swamp us poor jets.
Water skiing in the early am, and late at night only. The water was pretty rough with boat chop.
Pretty busy stretch of water, so be carefull.
Park moabi is the place to camp. They rent trailers on site, then you can always find a place to rent in Needles which is 15 minutes up river.
Great place for an extended weekend, but if you are going for a short trip, Blythe is the easiest.
