Custom fenders
« on: October 20, 2012, 09:54:16 PM »
Does anyone out there know of a place to get custom fenders for a trailer? I am looking for chrome fenders for a triple axle trailer that are @10 inches wide for my pontoon boat trailer. I know it's an odd request but there seems to be a lot of knowledgable people on this site. Thanks in advance for any help

I have dealt with Pacific trailers in Chino for literally decades.... Really cool people, but what you want will cost a fortune...

The triple axle trailer under my dad's Crusader is a V and M and we wiped out a fender, that damn thing was over $250.

They are black, not chrome, I would imagine chrome would cost near double... You crazy... :screwy:

I know but if you saw the money I have in this pontoon boat you would prob understand. Has a custom built 3rd sponson holding a small block with a velvet drive then out to a arneson surface drive. I just got done putting a new deck, carpet and all new interior. Now it's time to take the trailer to the paint shop and I want to put nice fenders over the new wheels. I will prob just widen the ones I have and get them chromed if new ones are over 750. It has been a fun project and I will post some pics if desired.

Yeah it's pretty cool but I dig weird things. It is at my shop so I will post some when I go in tomorrow morning. I just need to finish the new sun deck that houses the new fuel tank, air compressor, ect... And railings. It does @ 60 with a huge roster tail. Not bad for a 30ft pontoon!

Here are the fenders I want to replace or widen to fit the look I am going for. I got wider wheels and I would like to make them look like a big rig's rear tires. Anyhow from the sounds of things I will be cutting and welding in a 3-4 inch strip.

Thanks, my buddy Thane originally built this and I finally pried it out of his fingers two years ago. I am going for the fighter plane look since it is so big and all aluminum(plus it sounds like some of the birds I have flown in in the Army).  I painted the sharks teeth on the outside sponsons and I am working with a designer for the wrap. It is coming out pretty cool so far!

Welding a 3 or 4 in. piece sounds too much like work.

They are in Santa Fe Springs. 888-433-6337
I know they make stainless fenders, up to triple axle in widths up to 12 inches
