So I recently bought me an 89 placecraft 20' sport cruiser. It's currently getting a new gel coat so figure i'd do the trailer up. But I have a few questions..

I want to run the 2001 style ford mustang gt 5 spoke wheels and tires.
-what offset do the wheels need to be? If the mustang wheels are the wrong offset will a spacer take care of it?
-I'm told the trailers are the same bolt patter.. 5 on 4.5?
-what tire size do I need to run? The original size on the mustangs is 245/45/17 will this work?
-anything else I should keep in mind? Or take into consideration?

Offsets will be jacked up as will the bolt pattern, a lot of times, the Mustangs have two different sized wheels front and rear...

I have used Ford Ranger wheels with great success, but there aren't many good looking ones.....

And yes trailers are 5-4 1/2" pattern, but they make hubs with the 5-4 3/4" as well, I believe Ford went to metric lug patterns, but don't know what year that happened on the cars, I want to say 2003, but am clueless...Also be advised that you will end up having to run automotive radial tires and it may or may not be an issue. I can tell you towing a 21' daycruiser with radial tires was a real treat with my 72 Blazer 4X4 with a 4" lift...
