I was merely replying to the question of: what is a warlock. When I did my google search I didn't type in warlock boat, why would I? That was not the question asked. Lastly, I didn't see any of those bitchin' Warlock boats with a strap-on added on the back of their boats.  ;)

You are right, DCB is a much nicer boat. Look at the MACH 22, their best handling boat with twin outboards on it. It makes me feel good to educate the people of this great country!!! ;D ;D ;D

Damn nice boat. What cost more, the hull, the dildo hanging off the back, or the repair costs on that outboard? I think I saw several hundred just like it the last time I was at Parker, although I don't recall any of them having strap-ons they probably did.

I sold my trailer years ago.

Tell me you think a big block is more reliable then a "Dildo"? Which one do you think can take the most abuse?

Are you just practicing your evasive manuevers you use on the water here on the board? Everyone on the planet can't dump 10K+ into a hull and another 10K+ into the powertrain (term used loosely) and then another 5K whenever it breaks down (again).

You know they can chrome plastic now, right? Might make your "engine" go faster.

How much is a blown big block compared to a 300xs outboard? The 300xs is $28,000. Which is more reliable? AGAIN I am a hot rodder who has  mad "props" for Jet Boats. Again I use to have one and own 1970 gs 455 convert, I love big blocks. I'm not doggin' anybodys shit and money has nothing to do with it. A select few keeps triing to talk shit about my ugly "dildo" boat. Everyone seems to think that outboards are slow and unreliable which are both false. Then again, it is called SOCALJETBOATS not outboards right.
I'm guessing all the mouths on here have never been on an outboard. ;D Kinda nice not having what everyone else has!

I've read a couple of articles that state that it's nearly impossible to get a jet much faster than 65 mph (irregardless of HP) without major pump/hull work like a ride plate, shoe, stuffer grate and so on due to cavitation problems.

Didn't you post this Hotrod56cars????????
Must have forgot hah? ;D
Not everyone can dump 10k into powertrain??? How much does it cost to build a half way decent BigBlock these days!!! This coming from a man with a 32 ford truck...sure thats gonna be cheap to build! Ohh wait a minute, I built my '31, which is less to build then a '32, in my 2 car garage and did ALL the work on it myself and it was still $16,000 not taking labor in account. So don't pull out the money card!

My '32 isn't done yet. I have less than 2K in it so far. It rolls and I have all major parts for it, just not in it yet. I have done all the work to it myself as well.

The jet boat I have less than 2K in it also and I am hoping I will get 60 mph out of it, which I would be happy with.

Yes that was my post about older jet hulls might needing extensive hull and jet work to get much more than 65 mph. I was looking for some feedback on the article that I had read and then related to this group. Instead we recieved many replies about hulls going XX mph with no mention of any hull or jet work. It's cool as hell that XXX's jet boat goes 88 mph but it did the topic and the board no good without mention of the hull and/or jet pump work done.

I don't have a problem with people ribbing each other  here and there but it just appeared to me that since you started posting here is that the majority of your posts were about how outboards are better than jets. Apples and oranges. I prefer classic machines, whether it be a old hot rod or an old jet boat. I prefer going slower, if I have to, in a classic vintage jet boat irregardless of cost over going faster in a cat, inboard or outboard, irregardless of cost. Plain and simple, no matter how you go about it, there isn't anything nostalgiac or inexpensive about a 300 HP outboard.

It seems kinda screwey for the majority of your posts on SoCalJetBoats to be against jets and for outboards. WTF?  ???

Dude, Have you seen all the Jet boat pics I have posted and how I even said I had a 79 Tahiti 460 jet boat? The only one I am ribbing is Q-Jet big mouth....I agree with you that it is apples to oranges I just like havasu and thats why I got the boat I got. Have you read any of Q-jets posts? Whats the point of have a boat that only goes 87mph? How many jets on this forum go this fast? Not yours so whats the point of making a 60mph pass? I don't agree with that nonsense...My old Tahiti only went 48mph and I had a ball with it I just wanted a cat hull and I have yet to see a Jet Cat...and if you put a blown big block in one not only is the reliabilty in the toilet but a bravo I outdrive will not be able to handle all the torque. If you can build that 32 for $2,000 you are the shiznit!!  I spent many a hot AZ day in junkyards and still had quite a bill. What are you using for a tranny and, not that it matters, but is that a real steel 32'? Hell a new set of tires is almost $900.

Lately, I've been having a really BAD string of bad luck. A lot of it is my fault, a lot of it is just that - luck. I've been posting some hate...

I've bought my '32 literally piece by piece off of eBay. I buy 3 pieces and sell two of them individually on eBay. Over and over. Wish I could say I am making money doing it but I haven't been. But $15-1800 in a '32 ANYTHING isn't bad. '85 302 Ford, '85 AOD Ford, handbuilt frame with many many hours with marcsrollin building the frame, '64 1/2 (WTF?) Mustang rear, steel '32 Ford pick-em-up body, ''29 Ford "A" bed, chopped, Z'ed frame, tons of hours and (honestly) not a whole lot to show for it. It's close... but I've got this damned jet boat in my sights now........

Oh now I'M the one with the big mouth? If I recall you are the one that came up here spreading your "Warlockism" like a damn Jahova Whitness on a Saturday afternoon walk. As far as 87mph goes I could care a less. How long does it take you to get to 87mph? Well past the 1/4 mile I'm sure. Go for a ride @ 131 in 8 secs and tell me what the difference is between the two types of boats.
I've been around boats long enough to know that outboards can haul ass. Seen it. You say that it's not about money, well to alot of us it is. It think what urks you the most is that more people pay attention to the crackling camshaft of the BBC powered jetboat that that of the non existent sound of the outboard (even though you have 3 times as much invested)
Plus the look of chrome and polished aluminum on a nice sounding Big block is hard to beat.
And the day I go invade your "Outboard" website is the day you can call me a big mouth.  :o

Hey Q-Jet....Great job on your website!!!! Yer right your boat is faster then mine. The boat have to TOTALLY different functions smart ass. How much did it cost to build that big block and Whole V-Drive assembly??? Gellcoat? Lemme guess $2,000 right? 10K will build a decent big block but as fast as you claim yours is it way more then that. You got a transmission in that widow maker? And yes, you are a big mouth. ;D

I'm aware of the functionality differences of each boat, a point I have been trying to make. In addition to that it was mentioned that people love the sight, sound and feel of a big block jet boat. I think you would have a hard time selling your KKK rhetoric to the Alabama church Quior. What that means is that a $20,000+ outboard Warlock that runs 87 mph doesn't compare in a lot of eyes to a $10,000 87 mph jetboat as far as looks, sound and feel. No matter how hard yah try to sell it. The name of this sight alone should have been indication enough of that.
Your boat suits you and your family and friends the same as a jetboat for the people here. We are aware that our boats are hotrods on the lake. Yes hotrods aren't as reliable as a factory built, check written, second morgage boat, however there are many other reasons (of which I've mentioned) why we buy the boats we do.
You try to pin me as some big headed a-hole, of which I can assure you I am not. My boat runs good for what it is but is by far not the fastest boat around. I know a few Jets and v-drives that would hand me my ass in a second. I have been humbled in my days and I am sure that I am not immune to more.
And no my boat does not have a tranny it. Yours does though. Funny thing is yours sits behind the steering wheel.  ;D ;D ;D
