Seeing as how I'm a half breed of the Asian persuasion, I've got nothing negative to say. I was raised on raw fish and tempura. We go to sushi at least every 2 weeks. Even my 1/4 Jap. kids cant get enough of the stuff. Ron (Hiroshi) Lund

Family is all Nordic - but we love sushi. Best stuff on earth. My 9 year old eats it like there is no tomorrow and has since she was very young.
-
Ya, 1/2 Japenese, 3/8 Norwegian and 1/8 Swed. My dad is a farm boy from Minnesota and loves the stuff.
-
you guys can keep your sushi that shit is nasty
-
I have a 100 mile rule. If it ain't cought 100 miles of where you are, don't eat it.
My only exception is "Sushi on Tropicana" in Las Vegas.

x2, Tempura is ok, but if it was once alive and its uncooked....hell no!
-
Most of the sushi is actually cooked. Sashimi is the stuff that comes to you as that slab of raw tuna. I've gone to the japanese market with my mom and paid as high as $40.00 per pound for good tuna.
-
Ya I agree 76 , the fresh shashimi grade tuna IS expensive, but dammnn its GOOD ;D, and with some wasabi, look out!!!!!!!!!!!!! I remember one of my offshore fishing trips, on a party boat, and we were going after Tuna. One of the rules, or shall I say a ole fishermans tale was that when you catch your first tuna you have to eat the heart. Well i caught my first, about a 30 pounder, and the deckhand cut up the fish, grabbed the heart, called me over and gave it to me. Thinly sliced the tuna and put it around the bait tank for everyone, you talk about fresh ;D. As for me and the heart, well I did eat it, or shall I say SWALLOW it whole. I have to say it was NASTY :P even swallowing it with a beer and a half chaser ;D ;D ;D mark
