Saguaro lake
« on: April 30, 2009, 11:37:47 AM »
I'm thinking of trying Saguaro with the Moo boat to see what happens on Sunday. Might get a ticket or two, but my bud tells me he saw no lake cops and several OT headered boats there when he lost my truck keys, anybody in? TC? Forkie?

I wish I could join ya. I have to install my backyard sprinkler system. That's way more fun than going to the lake. Hopefully after this weekend I can start hitting the lakes again. I still need to align my alternator. I keep throwing the belt. I thought I got it pretty straight then last time out the belt flipped upside down but didn't come off. We will deffinently see you guys this summer. TC

Go to home depot and pick yourself up some "skilled american workers"  ;) Now you can go to the lake!

I will let you know hopefully by Saturday.

How long does it take to count cars?  :screwy:

I'd say, what 15, 20 minutes? lol

Plan to be out next Saturday too, just dunno where, Bartlett sounds fine.

Ray

Before you say it, I know, I know, you have to count the parts room and the service dept too, lol. I did inventory at the Uhaul tech center twice, thank gawd for my retail background. Those idiots haven't got a clue how to do it or prep for it.

Was a really fun ride out there today. Although my brother never showed to bring up the Blue Meanie ( Aka Blue my wad), we ran the Moo boat all day long without a real hiccup. Did seem to be running on 6 cylinders at idle when we pulled into the marina, which seemed odd. Pulled back out of the no wake zone alone while my bud and my kids got the truck, and it ran balls out just fine. Still did it when I came back in. Maybe it's uneven idle is catching up with it, I dunno. I'll check plugs and crap tomorrow, but I'm thinking the baffles had a little bit to do with it (They're coming back out, just so everyone knows, lol, the " worst lake in Az for noise restrictions", yeah, saw 4 other jet boats, none had baffles in their OT's, to hell with that!)

Still didn't get her opened up. Too rough out there with the wind and wake barges, but still a nice lake. Did light it up a few times, but could only sustain around 3000 or so rpm (4000 on one burst) , This thing does NOT like really rough water! Aired it out a couple of times. I can see now why the kids are afraid of it, lol. The boat wants to run, no doubt about it, but is picky about its water. Not a good thing, I'm thinking. Maybe the diverter will help that.

But was fun! Great lake were it not for the wake barges!

Figured I'd show some pics of the latest trip to Saguaro lake with the Blue Meaney boat. Was a lot of fun, and yeah, it rides a LOT better up there, lol. Only could GPS her at 48 WOT, something we'll fix this summer (When my son'd not looking, he's NOT a fan of me hot rodding the thing any). I think the parts are here to do it. But a beautiful lake.

Dunno where cadillac's boat sank, maybe we need the SCJB Recovery team to recover it as well, from the sounds of it. Only 50 feet down somewhere on this thing.

Some of us have been on this lake, but far more never heard of it, had a great time every time I been there thus far, 'cept for the Moo beating I took trying to hot rod it! (Even then had a good time, the beating effects kicked in on Monday morning, lol.

Hey Ray, looks like a good time. We will join you one of these days. I just got a second job and I will be busy. I'm working 40 hours at my old job and 30 hours with my new part time job. We are going camping at Woods Canyon Lake up in Payson for Memorial Day weekend. We are going for four days. After that I will have to work most weekends in the morning's. Let me know when the next trip is. Later,  TC

We're going back Sunday morning. Both boats. Gonne give the Moo one more try on it to see if I can find a happy medium with it,  ;D

If not, then a diverter it gets!

Got about 10 or so people going, so some of those pussies are gonna have to bite the bullet and "Ride the Moo".  >:D

The kids only felt comfortable taking pics along this long, no wake zone stretch where the SRP (Salt River Project) feeds the lake. Where we beached and all the boats and people kinda hangout. Yeah, it is more or less a river at that point. And they constantly open the locks and close them, so you need to pay attention to the current and your boat or it may be beached for hours, lol.

It is. I'd post pics of the two topless girls dancing on the deck of an old Glastron, but I forgot to zoom on my phone and you couldn't even make it all out, lol. (all happened kinda fast).

Kids were playing with other kids, thank gawd! But it was a sight!
