sold parts
« on: April 19, 2012, 04:30:06 PM »
Its really sucks when you trust people and you get screwed .
In good faith I sold a motor to a member last summer thinking I would get my cash over the winter so I could used it for my machine work on my block ,
His boat runs but mine dont so now I have to break out the floatys .
guys beware when selling parts get your money at time of pick up, even from members it really sucks
that integerty is lost     What really sucks is I have to look at the lake every day and no friggen boat

       Sorry just pichen a bitch

I agree seems sort of pointless to slam someone on the site, even though no names were dropped, just to recant the bitching. Glad everything is worked out though.

I was not wanting  to slam anyone, just wanting everyone and myself to watch out for this person is all. No bad feeling or anything.  O0

I have never been screwed by anyone on this site and doubt I ever will. Communication is key when ever selling anything. That's the real lesson here

Dude this blows, and i fell for you. But, I agree it's pointless to call someone out. All it will do is blow up, TRUST ME. For what it's worth I hope this gets resolved and you are able to get your boat on the water this season.

Mine was stiff when working it back and forth on the trailer.
Once I got it on the water and under power, it was amazing!

In the Kum-by-ya spirit of things I wanted to give some props to the guy I bought the 455 from a while back, but now I can't find his name or PM's.  I think he was selling a Southwind hull that he had pulled it out of.

I just got back from the lake and the moto runs great !!!  Other than a water leak at the snails and no trailer lights AGAIN I am pretty damn happy right about now.  It runs about 400 rpms higher and a whole lot quieter than the old motor and seems to hold 40- 50 psi of oil pressure WFO for a few laps around the lake.  Didn't even ping on year old gas.  Idles nicer and runs real cold (of course the water is still pretty cold).  Got the diverter working again too.  Still don't know if it will deliver enough of a holeshot to pull me up on a ski but I'm sure gonnna try first chance I get.

Now if you will excuse me, I gotta go get some popcorn.  I think I might be needing it soon.

I'm not sure a Top Fuel Hydro has enough holeshot to pull you up on a ski John.............BUT you'd probably best be betting on the Spectra fot that sort of behaviour!!!   >:D
