I'd keep the outboard on it.

I had one like that on a 50hp mercury outboard. It ran great. It work good on my 14 foot tunnel hull duck boat. I could run in like 2 to 4 inches of water and take off in like 8 or 9 inches

That's what every jet boat needs(a outboard kicker motor) HAHAHAHASo when you blow up the jet, you can still get back home with the kicker motor
