I always had muscle cars like Road Runners and 'Cudas when my friends were in Skyline Truckers out of Corona CA. but I went to many truck runs with them.  Many of the larger meets had contests like Tug o' War with serious mud in the center.  Lots of $$$ and bragging rights went along with this and for several years running we never lost a match.   Some of you who have met me know I'm kind of on the bigger side, well my buddies were all about the same.   One time I passed out in a park in Irvine and they had to drag me to the truck.  When I woke up a was all scratched and bleeding, because they literally dragged me.  Asshats.       "What I was too big for you guys to carry?"    "Yeah actually" they told me.

I was right there with you on that one brotherman, but I am sold now.  I towed my 21-foot Hallett, on her maiden voyage, along with all my camping gear and enough tools (including cherry picker and engine stand) to pull and rebuild my engine and pump, if necessary, in an $800 beater 83 6.2L Suburban.  I made it all the way to Crazy Horse Campground in Havasu, from Colton, CA on less than 18 gallons of fuel.  There is no way one of our big block duallies, or even a small block, could have done that.  Granted, I did not set any land speed records on the way out there.

Wait that was serious he hates diesel trucks?

I thought he was being sarcastic

I never wanted one till I realized
 1. Could tow 4000 more pounds
 2. Improve gas milage from 13 hwy stock ride height to 18 hwy 6 inch lift on 35s
  3. Went from 4l60e with 4.10 to Allison 6 speed 3.73 lowered rpm on top of diesel should outlast gas anyway

On point 👍. The only people I know that don't like diesels is the tree huggers down my street that give me dirty looks when I leave for work. I got a sticker just for them

Yep it was all sarcasm towards cliffjumper. He knows I have a 06 F350 6.0 powerstroke and 09 chevy 3500 6.6 d max. Both trucks are straight piped and efi live tuned. I love my diesel duallys. Don't think I'll ever have a regular gas truck in my life. Pretty sure if cliffjumper and I hooked up our trucks to a house we could rip it off the foundation lol.

Was actually contemplating for a while slapping a 6.0 powerstroke in a jet boat. Maybe one of these days...One can only dream hehe.

This!! Screw diesel trucks...
I'm perfectly content overheating up hills and blowing rear ends with my SBC, getting a shocking 8 mpg (not towing)!
