WTB-fuel tanks

I noticed I had a fuel leak from my left tank on the 4th of July but didn't get the interior pulled out until today, and found the filler neck broken almost off the tank  :o

The right side tank has been welded previously also.

So, I'm in the market for some side tanks for the Hondo.  Aluminum or stainless is Ok, and they don't have to be in perfect condition because they are mostly hidden behind the upholstery.

Thanks GT, but what's in there are basic round tanks about 8" dia 48" long.

I have 2 Russell stainless tanks. I believe they are 8 1/2 x 48 with brackets. I bought them on ebay awhile back for the Rogers, but I am going back to stock tanks for now. I've got about 500.00 into them with shipping, you can have them for that if you pick them up. Call  760-803-5484 Ron

Just on a side note here, if your tanks are breaking at the top, I would say it would be a good Idea to bulkhead the hull before and after the ends of the tanks. My little boat used to crush the fuel hoses below the filler necks all the time, found out the deck was basically smashing down on the tops of the tanks causing all kinds of Goofy problems. Once I bulkheaded the  hull sides, the boat actually picked up some handling and no more tank problems, I can get pics if needed.

Took about 1/2 a day and came out pretty cool.

That is a good idea, considering that my wife drives the boat like an off shore race boat in the chop at parker.

Give me a day or two to think about it, I would love stainless but I don't have the spare cash available at this time.

$500.00 is a good price though.

Here is a pic of one, 2" fill centered on the tank, appox. 12" from the front. Let me know if these will work. I'm leaving on Weds. for 10 days. Ron

I don't have any pics yet, but I will get some.

After I pull them out I'll have a friend weld them and put them up for sale.

Met up with 76Bonneville at the races and picked up the tanks today. 

Thanks again Ron for the good deal.

Gonna get the interior pulled back out and got the old tanks out tomorrow.
