Dooley type scoop
« on: May 05, 2012, 08:50:31 AM »
I'm looking to borrow a Dooley scoop for dual carbs (9 3/8"-9 1/2" center to center) for the AVI trip, if anyone has one available.

The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

I have one you can borrow.
I can send it with someone passing by on their way to the Avi.
Or if you wanted to check it out before this weekend, I could meet you somewhere.
I live in Chino and work at the Ontario Airport.

Let me know.

Dave

I also have the cover and flame arrestors.

Thanks Dave

If you know someone going to AVI just have them bring it along.

I'm working on a fiberglass "surfer" scoop that isn't done yet and if the guys from PB Magazine are actually out there taking pics I wanted to have a scoop and not just my K&N air cleaners.

Send the flame arrestors just in case my filters don't fit to hold it down.

I'm planning on getting there Friday mid-day

Daniel stopped by and picked up the scoop today, so you should be set.
The flame arrestors are in it and also 2 flat aluminum brackets.
I just use the flame arrestor to hold down the scoop. I threw in the 2 brackets just in case.

I hope it works for you.
Have a good weekend guys.

Keith just a heads up, you may need longer carb studs.
We have a dooley and the base is about 5/8" high plus the arrestors.  :)

Thanks for the heads up... I'm currently running 3" K&N's so I should be good, but I'll throw another set in the tool box.
