Pickle fork jet boat

Im looking to purchase a pickle fork jet boat 18'-21' w/ a BB. I prefer a original or project boat. Can be w/ or with out motor.
Hopefull something thats located east of the Mississippi. Im traveling between Florida and Indiana so let me know if you all know of something..

Yep I know all about scream and fly... Im proud supporter of that group for about 7 years now. I have a 26' velocity w/ twin 300 yamahas. And now I want to try my luck at jet boats?

I have a couple questions on Motors? Is going w/ a Chevy or Ford Big block the best route?

How about jet pumps? what should I be looking for and what ones to stay away from?

welcome to the site, good luck in your search, you cant beat a good tunnel hull, as for ford or chevy, that is personal pref. but bbc is the only way to go >:D

I would say bbc for power, and as far as pump goes most common would be berkley...other notable pumps would be american turbine...stay away from jacuzzi and panther...but actually finding a picklefork jet I would almost bet would be berkley...welcome and good luch with the search...and if you come accross a v-drive pickle fork don't hesitate pick it up!

BBC (The right way) or BBF is the preferred engine for almost any boat although you will see 455 Olds/Pontiac Engines in some of them. Also seen a few Mopar powered boats here and there.

As for the Pumps you are gonna want to stick with Berkley family of pumps or Dominator in order to get the most potential from cost standpoint. A Jacuzzi pump is fine but requires $$ mods to make the same performance.

I would also consider a V-bottom Jet Boat if the price is right. Im also pretty experienced with glass work and not afraid to take something that needs some work, but not interested in junk.
