WTB 460 BBF !!!

One of my co-workers sold his boat and the first trip out the guy blew the bottom end out of it.  Not saying he did anything wrong, but ...?

Anyway being a good guy, my buddy is going to try to fix it for him. 

So we are looking for a 460 short block, long block, complete...what have you.

Let me know and I'll pass on the information.

The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

The same thing happened to a friend of mine a few years back.  The buyer thought you could
go hammer down for miles and miles...or all day.

The BUYER  bought another engine from the junk yard and gaskets etc.  My friend and I donated the labor to switch out short blocks for him.

You buy things and it's yours, buyer beware I believe is the legal term.

I wouldn't buy the shortblock if I were the seller.  :screwy:

I showed him that listing, but he is trying to get away cheep.

I told him he needs to get the new owner to buy the engine and he can do the labor because we don't know what he was doing when he blew it up.

UPDATE:  My coworker found a good deal on an engine that was rebuilt and sat for many years.  He got it all torn down and found most everything useable with a good cleaning.  But the cam has enough surface rust that he is concerned about using it, besides it being a stock truck cam wasn't exactly his first choice.  He finally got the damaged engine pulled apart and found the cam he wanted to use damaged in the failure.  So...

Does anyone have a good used 460 Ford cam that they would be willing to part with?

It's going into a stock 460 in a 21' day cruiser with a Jacuzzi YJ pump.

He will pay for it, but really doesn't want to have to pay full price for a new cam.

I have 2 460 long blocks that I don't know the condition of but look good.....let them go with extra heads everything for 400.00

I HAVE A COMPLETE 460 FORD ENG.  ALL IT NEEDS IS A SET OF GASKETS AND A GOOD CLEANING  CALL FOR MORE DETAILS   STEELE   1-951-520-9992
