This is my first boat I've ever had.  I grew up with John Miller's kids so I've been around boats for a long time and when it was time for me to get into boats I knew I wanted a Miller Jet boat.  As fate would have it my brother brought home a 19 ft Miller Jet.  After he tore it apart I jumped on the deal and took it down to John Miller to have it restored.  I must say John is doing an excellent job on it and I couldn't be happier with how its turning out.  When I bought the boat it was in really rough shape and needed pretty much everything done to it.  So thats what I had done... everything.  First the boat was flipped upside down and had the bottom all patched up.  The bottom was blueprinted, had the hook taken out of it, put on a ride plate with a shoehorn scoop and a grate for the jet intake.  The bottom of the boat has been coated with lubri-bond graphite coating.  The top was painted with a cool lookin gray color with new cianti red graphics.  Then the graphics were outlined with a charcoal pinstripe.  The rubber molding around the side was ground off in a v and then filled in with fiberglass and sanded smooth.  The transom was all filled in and smoothed out as well.  New floors, bulkhead, and stringers were put in too.  The 396 BBC was removed and I took possesion of a 509 BBC that was estimated anywhere from 600-700hp range.  I was told not to be surprised if it hit 700 hp.  The boat is still under construction in John Millers garage at the moment.  If all goes well and I can keep my finances straight it should be in the water around the new year.  So check it out and leave some commets on what you think of how its coming along.  Also check out John Miller's web page for wooden boat restoration and new wood boat construction  www.johnmillerboats.com

I thought I might add some other pictures of boats that are from the same shop as my boat.  I got a few questions asking what the boats next to mine looked like... these boats are not mine... and are not jet boats... but you can still drool over them.

The following boats are all Miller's built by John Miller... restorations, wood decks, and the blue and white one is a brand new all wooden boat.  ALL WOOD!  and the bottom of the boat is just as gorgeous as the deck.

Very Nice looking miller you have there. I look forward to watching this project progress. I have an 83 Miller and have been in love with it since the day i say the "for sale add" before i purchased it. Someday i hope to do a complete restore as well. Not to hi-jack your thread, but here is some pics of mine.

Well the boat progress is going a little bit slow right now... but I think its ok because its getting cold up here where I'm at.  But it's still looking like it will hit the water for the first time somewhere around new years.  The Jet is at Tom's shop www.JetBoatPerformance.com... and he hooked me up with a Jacuzzi that was already energized.  Hope to get that all paid for and painted by this next weekend.  Right now all I have to post is the boat with the seats stuck in it and I threw in a picture of the rig I'm building to tow my boat.  When its done it will be painted the same colors as the boat, Silver on the bottom half and then the Cianti Red on the top half... should look kinda like a Foose paint job.  Enjoy the pictures.  I'll upload some more of the jet later in the week.

I got the gauges set in the dash and the fuel tanks are getting glassed in.... still needs a flow coat on the floors and then carpet.  Gauges turned out saweet though... match the colors of the boat perfect.

Quick update... got the interior together. tanks glassed in etc.  Waiting for the Place Diverter High performance housing this next week and it all fly together.  The BBC is all complete except it still has the v-drive timing cover on it.
