Lil update after the last trip of the season I threw a rocker off the valve did Lil damage. But knowing me I always go the safe route so Bostick picked my motor up from my house( big thanks and great service as I was leaving outta town for work the next day) and we're doing quite a bit of work to her to make her better. Hope to put this v hull in the 90s by next season. Also not boat related but build my side yard gates to get this thing outta my garage and my trailer at my house.....still gotta put wood up but the hard parts done.

Just going through the whole motor changing compression roller cam porting heads and dominator carb. Then tune and Dino. Hopefully gain some mph and reliability. Hopefully put a nitrous setup in the next year or so on it.

I don't want to burst your bubble here but I have a '77 Liberty that I picked up a few years ago. The serial # is as follows.. 0176 0002 As you can see the build date states it was built January 1976 #2 off the line. Mine originally had a BBC but I got it as a hull, pump, trailer combo. The hull had been blue printed and speedcoated but I don't know anything else about it. Original gel coat and pink pin stripes still. It's now got a BBF. You are the first that I have heard of that also has a low serial numbered boat. Congrats.

Mine did not have any numbers on the hull, I bought it from the builders brother in law.  It was their factory race boat.  I got the story directly from him on the previous boats.

Sounds like you have one of the first "production boats" after they finished tinkering with the design... great find having boat 002.

I loved mine they are awesome boats

My serial numbers are way diff my hull is a 1977 and the 77 are the last two numbers??
