Bought My First JetBoat...Can you Help Me with What model this is?

Hello guys,

Im from Michigan but love this site! I have always been a stern drive Boat owner, but just recently boat me my first jetboat. Its a 1978 with a 460 big block with a high rise tunnel ram. Eldebrock carb , over the transom exhaust. I have no idea what make this is??? The title just says 1978 jetboat??
It almost looks or reminds me of a eliminator,,,, but im not sure? If yu have any ideas please let me know! It looks a little dirty in the pics but these pics were from the previous owner. I just picked it up and plan on wet sanding and reclearing the exterior. Thanks for looking Troy

Good looking boat- what are the first few letters on the id tag right rear corner of the transom?

There were so many copies of every style hull, the only way to know for sure is the HIN (hull identification number). It will be on the back of the hull on the right side. Post the first 3-4 letters and someone here will help you figure it out.

That's a pretty unique shape and when someone who knows that shape see's it, then you'll know what it is if they chime in.

Picked up a Southwind today and this one //i15.photobucket.com/albums/a390/tcaswell/Picture202561.jpg isn't a Southwind.

Does that have Budwieser stickers all over it? Like the old flatty, Bud stickers and no numbers ot name on the title.

it probably isnt a cobra jet=i was looking at the running lights on the sides in front and the cobra jet has them in the same spot=heres some photos

I will post the vin # later havent picked it up yet...its all paid for but need to make the trip this weekend to bring it home. its about a 10 hour trip from home one way!!! I got a good deal on it, I think its worth probably double what I paid for it. I gave $2100 . The guy I bought it from had loaned someone $2500 for a total sale of $3500 a year ago but never got paid a dime back. So he basically went last summer while the guy had been using it and repo. it. He was asking $3500 for it but only wanted to make what he was owed on the boat (2500). So I talked him down from $3500 to $2100...ha ha
and it runs very good with great oil pressure. It has the berkly jet pump, Its just dirty but it does have a custom cover with it .

These pictures are from the previous owner where im picking the boat up from .Its a little hic town in Henrietta MO . They are major hics.....not the best looking neighborhood , we are just going to grab the boat and run!!!!!!!

I know most companies had several models but it doesn't look anything like the Southwind 18 in my yard.

It's really similar to that Cobra Jet but definately a little different.
