Ok now im getting frustrated with this stupid scoop

Im no fukin painter and its taking tooooo loooong...... i still have two more colors to add , but im thinking about doing pin striping between the three colors instead of painting the other colors in

I dunno..... I might just take it to the body shop and have them do it up... there was a guy Named doughboy that used to do all the mini trucks/cars here in town and is fuking good... i would love to find him again..

the colors i need to finish it.

and what i have done so far..

I think it looks to plain and needs something else on it besides the colors of the boat.. maybe some stickers

Im having a hard time matching the last 2 colors.......... Gel vs Duplicolor and im in Bullhead so my selection sucks..

going up to Auto zone to see what they have so maybe i can finish it up today. If not i already put out the word on PB..

Stick a fork in it 2Sav, that fuger is done, looks awsome! If it were me I would let it roll, go make more noise with it and don't sweat the really small stuff, IMO you did a killer job to the highest standard out there...

WOW guys, thanks for the props..........

I found the colors i needed to finish the scoop so that is my work for today

i knew i should have brought home my pinstriping brushes from work

Im at a point now where i dont know what to do first (kinda lost) i need to make a plan of attack and follow it without getting sidetracked..Key word sidetracked!!!! phuks me up everytime and then i end up tearing the floor out or something

Your getting realy close now. Take lots of pics when you get it wet.

The strangest part of building mine was when I was standing there (tools in hand) looking for what I needed to do next and I couldnt find anything, it was done.

Thank God for test runs, now I have lots of things to do.

I really have not had the time to actually sit back and look at what has been done , ive always been busy with her dads boat, my dad and his little needs around the house that he cant do anymore. And then we have my G/F's 4 kids

and of course her bitchen cause im spending too much time on the boat

Sooooo........ i need some help i think i got it figured out but at the same time i think im confusing myself

Pic 1 this is my coil and ballast... Do i add the white ign wire to the orange side of the ballast and then to the solenoid and then the other wire of the solenoid back to the other side of the ballast.

This is how ive seen it done before (i think)

The wiring diagrahm for the dizzy....( Thanks Omar )

I also added another color to the scoop. Im done with it now just some light sanding, a few pin stripes and cear/top coat... And now the V/C's are all cut and ready for breathers......

I want to get this pig wired and started A.S.A.P.

I'll see if I can confuse you further

From the dash, (normally purple) ignition wire goes to one side of the resistor, the other side of the resistor goes to the positive side of the coil and the (I) terminal of the starter solenoid, so in short there should be three wires on the ballast resistor...The (normally grey) lead goes to the tach and comes from the (-) side of the coil which also goes to the distributor...

I think that circuit just gives the coil momentary full 12 volts on "start" same as + side of solenoid, and disconnects in "on" position.

OK fair enough, but while the engine is running that start signal wire has 8+/- volts DC on it and that wire goes to the starter solenoid, sooooo what keeps the solenoid from trying to pull in

I'm telling you, that schematic is bogus $:-\$

Ok scoop is finally completed... would have been done yesturday but a big brown truck stopped by with a present... Thanks Tom

And just like always the UPS guy and i sit there amd BS for awhile. Really windy yesturday and i had the scoop on my little roll around seat BIG MISTAKE sitting there bullchitting and all i heard was a couple real loud bangs

Yes you guessed it , the scoop went down.. Hit the workbench and even bounced of the boat trailer

Sooooo........ It went back to the body shop (my shed) It was alot nicer but its taking up too much of my time so i patched her up and shot it with some clear coat..
