Ok, you wont need the tool this time but seriously if you look at the spring it's slightly bigger at one end. If it's in backwards it'll be in the spring when you take it apart.

I noticed that and took a mental note, but being in a hurry who knows what i did.. In all honesty, i hope i did screw up with something that simple to fix ;D

Ok now that i think about it.... I remember the top of the Basset "T" valve looked a lil strange, unlike the one Ralph donated  for the BAHNER :sly: I mean Carribean ;D

I noticed it and compared it to mine, and told myself i didnt like the way it looked. It didnt look like the ball would seat in it very well. I think i will try mine on the Eliminator and i bet that fixes it 8)

Ray,

He's not kidding, the ball and spring in the bassett/rewarder/whoever tees are meant to go one way, put 'em in backwards and you'll find out all about it.

lol, that wasn't the joke in that, the joke was the reversal tool, lol

Ray

If your spring is upside down the ball will fit inside it...........no BS. You'll need a spring reversal tool.

Ok got the Eliminator wet today , but not without some issues.

#1. Lots o water coming out the weep holes at idle (installed a new ball /spring prior )
#2. it takes a while to get the water to come out the dump unless you rev it to 2K then its fine for awhile and then stops ???
#3.so far no oil in water.

This has a pressure reliefe valve so i open the gate valve full , and i  get the rpm's up to see if its working or not and its just a drizzle. i think it starts to dump at 25 psi which i thought was a little high? Or maybe i am ;D

Boat ran strong , really responsive and smooth.. Just need to get the plumbing issues worked out...

Any idea's  ???

Well i was right about it being the "T: valve but wrong about the top........... This is gonna leave a mark :-[

Spring was installed upside down :sly:

As soon as i looked i saw the ball stuffed into the spring and knew what i did wrong..

On a good note, took her to the river for a water test .... And she's looking good ;)

Soooooooo.............. Off to the lake for a shake down ;D

Man the water was nice.....

When you're running with him you need to think about that, because if you beat up on him too bad, you might end up working on the Eliminator even more (to make it faster).  :'(   ;)
