you are in the same boat i was in at the beginning of last season. the beginning of this thread. now i have turned every single nut and bolt on the boat, redone almost every single thing, spent a ton of money, learned some stuff, and what am i left with? i still have a $2500 boat that will be hard to sell if i ever decide to. welcome to the world of jetboating

Well he originally quoted 2 weeks, like 6 weeks ago, if it hadn't of been so cheap I don't know if I'd be so happy. It was hard to get a straight answer from him sometimes, but all in all I didn't have 1200 for seats and he wrapped mine for 4 with foam so I guess I'd do it again

Actually to give the guy credit if mine wasn't full on cutom it would have been quicker. I took him wood seats and got back what you see, he hadn't really done seats like mine before. If you have seats that just need recovering, I'm surre it would come out really clean especially cuz he'd have a pattern

You've done an outstanding job on that boat! From what it was to what it is is amazing.

Are you building a new wiring harness or using the old one?

i was fighting a bad case of flashburn, so progress sucked yesterday completely. I did manage to get the pump tapped for the cradle. got the motor to TDC, made my plug wires and set the dizzy. and made a throttle bracket plate that bolts to the front 2 bolts of the carb.

bustin ass to get the thing done for wednesday morning departure to the river.
i have 1 hardline left to make.
tomorrow morning i gotta go buy carpet, stop by work trim down the rideplate and make a top strap for the battery box i made. i gotta get a couple fittings for the flexible fuel lines that i'm running to the pump. then when i get done driving all over san diego county and finally get back to working on the boat, i gotta mount the gauges, install the carpet, and wire the boat. hopefully by tuesday she'll fire up. I haven't started the boat since october. LOL in the first pic you can see my list to do.

Wednesday we came out to the river, yesterday a buddy helped me wire the boat. After we did that we were timing it and got a fuel leak on the flare fitting that goes into the carb. The only line I didn't do freakin leaked. So while were fixing it... POP... CRACKLE.... FIZZ.... The coil explodes. Turns out my dumb ass left the key on. So I run into Parker and got another msd coil, while putting it on I notice one of the terminals is broken. So that was the nail in the coffin. Time to get drunk. Now I'm waiting till 8 am to go get a coil. I should have pictures of it on the water today
