that thing spent almost the same amount of time out of the water as in....reminded me of my yamaha superjet before adding aftermarket ride plate.  i think spoke out loud when his steering wheel came off

Look at all your valve stems with covers off. If its a sucked valve, it will be pretty obvious( it will be lower and will not move).  If thats your problem...pull the head with a quick valve job...back on the water if your piston isnt to bad(mine was okay/real light surface marks). Napa gold or wix filter an 20/50 vr1 racing. Its been awhile on plug reference but a stock type plug at 35/37 gap.

First time ever doing this gotta say learned a lot

So the bearing is shot crank groves all in it. The holes for the oil where not inline. So now the crank has to come out.

The person who built this motor knows they messed up and doesn't want to cover the cost to fix it. Made me a better mechanic and I learned a lot. Be nice if he stand begin his work and cover the cost of repairs.

So now it's order new pistons want to replace the old ones since it's open. get the crank machined new bearings so suggestions would be awesome maybe do roller rockers so I'm open to options

How do the cylinder walls look? Bummer about the bearings and crank.

Same exact thing happened to my olds last year. What's your budget to get that baby back together?

Here's a pic of my bearings and rods, this was also on a "fresh rebuild".
