Thanks GT. It was just laying on the intake. I'm not quite sure where it was supposed to go. That's what I read online. I have a Holley 750. Is it supposed to go to the carb?

According to the USCG rule, it states the vent tubing must be routed to a point where it is put into the carburetor and not be exposed to air outside the flame arrestor.
Meaning it should go either into the float bowl, overflowing the bowls and kill the engine in the event of a pump failure, or directly into the flame arrestor down the throat of the carburetor, also killing the engine in the case of a failure.
Some carburetors have a fitting into the bowl for this line (we have a Carter AFB on one boat with one and mine has an 800 cfm Quadrajet.
Holley marine carburetors are a little hit and miss.
