Bought a new starter but not enough posts. Any way to wire this or get a new starter?

Imho your best option would be to install a Ford style hockey puck solenoid.
You can then use the (I) terminal on that for the ballast resistor bypass. ..
The new solenoid will also ensure a good signal from the ignition switch "start" terminal.
Simply run a 12 gauge wire from the battery post of the new starter to one of the large lugs on the solenoid, from the other large terminal to the (S) terminal on the new starter.
Then the original wire that went to the (S) terminal on the old starter goes to (S) on the new solenoid and the wire that went to (I) on tyke old stay goes to (I) on the new solenoid.
Don't forget that the body of the new solenoid needs to be grounded.
This is a bulletproof fix IMHO.
