I've had great results by buying a bucket off chem dip from the local AutoZone. If you wanna make it faster and easier on you buy 2 buckets. Stuff ain't cheap it's 30 bucks a bucket but works wonders on carbs. Take it apart dump all the parts into the solution and let it sit for about 4hrs. All the gunk and build up inside and outside will be gone. There's a company, that seems carb paint which works really well. Any color you can think of.
Yes you'll spend about 150 bucks the first time in the Chem Dip rebuilt kit and paint but the dip and paint should be enough for 5 more rebuilts. I've had nothing but good results doing it this way. As long as you know how to rebuild a carb...
