use the 460 as garden art and get a mans motor!

Hey Sandaddict,
Offroader310
already has a man's motor.
He has a Ford. They are a thinking man's engine that ain't no "Wal-Mart motor" like a chebby....where all kinds of parts are simply bought and slapped on in a desperate effort to find more power....for which all the aftermarket parts are available because THEY ARE NEEDED since the the mass production factory componentry is more weak and frail for performance applications and, overall, when utilized simply cannot generate the power that the oem factory Ford parts can....not with the chebby being plagued with bigger (lower compression) combustion chambers, needing the requried bigger/heavier pistons for a decent compression ratio, the inferior valve angles, the overall weaker crankshaft, the lower deck block (Ford's block is taller than even chebby's "tall" deck), the smaller bore, the wimpy 7/16" head bolts, the spur gear oil pump (UGH!), need I go on???
Man oh man, the amount of money it takes these days to build a chebby that makes power....compared to a Ford....let alone the engine change;
forget it. Oh and in case you didn't know, before you bring up the aftermarket parts availability BS that chebbys have and Ford's don't, you might want to get out of the 1980's and look at all the stuff you can get for a Ford 460 these days....
Offroader310, you need to diagnose your engine problem, pure and simple.
