Not that part!

I mean initially, when you drop the dizzy in! No matter WHAT MFR of engine, you always start with the Number 1 piston at TDC to even remotely figure out where the dizzy Rotor should be pointing at, no?
On a 460 I know it is at where #1 is at TDC and #6 just starts to drop, you drop in the dizzy with the rotor pointing directly at #1. Will fire right every time. On a 454 I beleive you sub #8, but it's been a few years. How'd they initially time the MOFO???
