Well based on the runnel ram, thru-transom tubular headers, and the fact that you have D0VE heads, I'd say that you could very easily build a reliable 450-500hp long block for almost as cheap as a bone stock rebuild. I assume you already have roller rockers, etc if you have D0VE heads. Of course, a LOT more power is possible with your parts but the expenses go up. (Are the D0VE heads ported? If not, then I have a nicely ported pair fully machined and ready to bolt on and may accept you heads as a core exchange.)
Provided you select a lightweight piston and keep rpms below 5500, the OEM rods should be fine . Block bored 0.060" overbore not a problem at all for 500 hp. Sounds like a matter of just an overbore, pistons, balance, bearings, gaskets, a camshaft/lifter selection, and perhaps a valve job (etc)...plus the odds and ends depending on condition of current parts . If you are racing then the rods should be upgraded.
Give me a call or PM me again and we'll discus exactly what you want to get from your engine build and I'll point you in the right direction. havea pen and paper handy where you call.
