I was mounting up my carb and fuel lines today and the fuel lines hit the valve covers.  I have an Edlebrock Torker II intake that twists the carb at an angle on the motor which is pushing the fuel lines into the valve cover.  I have been collecting parts for a while now and I am just getting things together.  I really don't want to buy new fuel lines but I was thinking of a carb spacer.  I think 1" should make it fit just fine.  I have a little tube bender that I use for bending brake lines at work but I think that would be kinda cheesy to bend them.  Are those spacers good or bad?  I build axles for a living, I am not really a motor guy.  Thanks for any help in advance.

I think the Edelbrock torkers are cheesy for a jet boat , not putting anything down and dont get me wrong. I just think the sideways carb was more for marketing than performance 

  If you ordered a new one from jegs, bend that damm thing up a bit, Yah that might look a little messed up sitting in your garage, but it will look a hell of alot better when your cruising around in the lake or river, besides you will be going by people so fast who will see it....

Don't even need a tubing bender. Just grab and go once you've loosened up the hose that connects the two ends.

On BB Mopars and on OLDS there is either a distributor or an oil fill in the way so you HAVE TO bend it. I've done it a bunch of times now. I'm not a big fan of my fuel lines routed over the top of a distributor cap personally.


The carb is twisted on that manifold to try and help with the 5-7 fuel distribution issue Chevys have.
