That's your return line back to the tank. Most people just run it back to the inlet line.

Thanks for the answer.  Now I've got another line to plumb in.      I think I can be a certified plumber when I get done here. 

Doesn't that fuel vent tube run into a flame Arrestor type air filter on marine applications?
Should be something on the net about it...

That makes sense...however re-routing it to the inlet would also work. The point is to not allow the fuel/fumes to be released to the outside and keep them contained within the motor/fuel pump correct?

you are correct in that's the point of it but that's not how's the regs are written.  You could still be written up because of the ignorance of a Sheriff.

All the "marine" parts were designed for closed engine compartments right .
