Help Identify these engine bay parts

I'm a rookie boat owner and need help identifying some of these engine components (see attached photos).

Photo 1
Item 1 - Not sure what this is - it connects to the ignition coil (I'm an HEI guy when it comes to SBC/BBCs)
Item 2 - Says VDO on the body and has a metal bar with a weight on it with 90 degrees of movement. Easily movable by hand. All my gauges are VDO and this doesn't seem to affect any of them.

Item 3 - I think this is a starter relay but not sure, I've never seen one on a car.

Item one is a ballast resistor for the coil, item 3 is a ford style starter relay. And item 2, no idea.

Item one looks like a resister ot something like that. Its a stick set up that I have seen on distributors. You can drop an hei in there and be done with it.

Item three is a starter solenoid deal. Must be a stock starter.

Because Bow Ties seldom have a direct pull starter like a Ferd do.

That and because its not smart enough to be the Master....

If thats a unilite, I would also run a active power filter plug n play. Better safe than floating back...

Just though I'd clarify.
Item 2 is actually a rudder/trim position sender.
Fuel pressure isolater didn't make any sense to me being carbureted, non-pressure regulated, with no fuel pressure gauge.

Did my best with the tools I had available to me LOL...

They used fuel pressure isolators for a fuel pressure gauge. Does not need to be EFI.

Does your boat have a trim gauge?
