Are you looking for a tall deck I would guess? I haven't really heard of guys building performance engines based on a 366 block, but I may have a tall deck 427 block, once I decide which one I am using to freshen up my 505.

cool thx let me from what i know the 366 is a tall deck and can be bored to fit the 427 pistons with no problem again thank you

i know you are in az, there have been a couple of 366 engines on craigslist here in san diego recently.
this is one , sounds like a junk yard so i'm sure they will want more than a new block will cost you...

Better check carefully about maximum bore on the 366, I have not heard of that being done. Doesn't mean it's not possible, just make sure before you spend money on a 366 block.

I just had a 75 tall deck 427 sonic checked. The deck was .875 in the thinnest area and .380 average cylinders. .425 max and .289 min. I was very happy with the numbers.

Just double checked the sheet
Deck was .954 to .765
Cylinders were .388 high thrust minimum .449 high thrust Maximum
.437 low thrust minimum .480 low thrust maximum.
