Heres the story Glass , I bought this boat and it ran fine...we took it out on Lake Perris and Ive started it up a couple times since then...the last time I started it up it made this weird sound like it was bound up .. so I pulled the started and the nose cone was snapped off... so I took the starter with me and got a new one they matched the numbers ( Keep in mind I'm a novice wrench turner ) I put in the new starter and I crank it over and theres thats same noise again..so I pull out the new started and the nose cone is snapped off again
So my first question to this very saavy forum is why did it run fine and now all the sudden its snapping nose cones ?? and secondly I was told that the motor has too much compression and needs a high performance starter?? any thoughts
