I had to have my oil changed ahead of plan at Lake mead a few weeks ago. The boat shop there used one of the Motives Skip mentioned. Worked like a charm, but took a little time. Not a problem because they had a hard time finding a filter that would clear the stringer! Opened like 15 or so filters before one fit. (Putting on the remote kit Thursday. Had to wait to find a different deal with the block adapter outlets coming out the sides AND top of it)

Anyway, they got out 9 1/2 quarts, which is a little more than I had put in it to begin with (Water was the balance).

Convinced me that it works. I was concerned because of my 10 qt Milodon pan as well. Seems to me I can just use the vaccuum deal just fine. Slow is ok, as after this year, I probably won't have to change my oil but once a season, running Joe Gibbs stuff.

Umm yeah, I do. I DID PAY FOR IT! The oil that was changed out though needed to be after 2 or 3 hours run time. Was their Break-in oil, and is about half the cost of their Hot Rod oil in it now. But yeah, $220 a case direct.

To it's defense, and 1 reason I can't wait to get the remote dual filters and cooler on it, we ran Rotella with Comp cams additive in it on a bench to break the cam in, and it ran like 70 psi, and a couple whacks to 6000 rpm it hit 85 PSI. On the Hot Rod oil, it's burying my needle at over 100. Ran a mechanical after Mead directly into the sender's spot, same thing (per Terry). The stuff has some serious metal clinging abilities, and I've gotta lower that pressure, and I think the remote filter dealio and the cooler will help do just that.

If that doesn't do it, gonna hafta run one of the remote filter oil lines 2 or three times around the bilge before it goes back in to do it. No oil pump could possibly keep up with THAT expansion!.

NICE :-) ur an HVAC tech GT? I did commercial air conditioning for 2 years but now im an operating engineer. We had those lil 115 volt gear pumps for changing the oil in chillers and they work GREAT, lol just gotta make sure that you dont blow any 10w-30 residue into the chiller lol.

Yep, its always funny when I use it on a Trane centrifugal and I tell the building engineer "hold on while I flush the Amsoil out of my pump"

I've overhauled and maintained them for over 10 years, been working on a building with 3 500 ton York (Screws) and I would trade em all for one Trane Centra Vac. The Irony is we own York International (JCI).

You should still be able to spin it off. Wrap a gallon ziplock around it and let it fall in the bag so you dont get oil all over your bilge.
