Hello everyone,

My oil pressure switch is connected to my electronic Carter fuel pump. It's making the fuel pump cut in and out. I tried to replace the oil pressure switch but when I plugged it in, I didn't hear my fuel pump run when I turned the key to the on position. The new oil pressure switch is also different but the threading is the same. Does anyone know what type my old oil pressure switch is? My old one also came with an adapter of some sort. What's weird is when the engine is running, it seems like the fuel pump is running and the engine never shuts off  but with the engine off and the key in the on position, one light tap will shut off the fuel pump and one light tap would turn it on. Thanks for the reply. Would you happen to know which two wires I'm supposed to jump? I thought the plug was bad also, so I put in a new plug but it's  a plug for those H4 light bulbs because I couldn't find the plug made for these oil pressure switch.
