Mods , I dont think so . I just flushed mine with soapy water (dawn is my preference) for about 10 mins. with one of those pumps you hook an electric drill to . Dont forget to get yourself a toilet brush to get into the pump as far as you can . WD-40 the fuk out of everything too . You just cannot rinse enough. The salt will be EVERYWHERE !

I agree with Skip. Saltaway is the shit. My brother and I use it on his boat all the time when we come in from shark fishin. Thru the engine and outdrive, and also the boat itself    Mark

I've ran ours in the salt for years (pre rebuild) and have never had a problem other than the water splashed on the chrome headers would burn onto them.  That and the salt that got splashed on the starter made it so I only got 3 years out of my cheapo Schucks starter.

With all that said, I haven't had the nerve to run the new setup in it yet but given we are 2+ hours from fresh water versus 5 minutes from salt water, I know next year I will......
