My steering has gotten really stiff on my jet boat. Is this something you can have lubed or do you just replace cable ?

I had the same problem.  I took off the steering cable on the outside of the jet drive.  Put a hose over the cable and clamped it with hole clamps.  Poured Liquid Wrench in the hose and put a made a cap with a small hole in it and clamped it onto the hose.  Took my air compressor and put 10 psi on it and pushed the liquid wrench into the cable.  Has worked for years.....

Hope this helps. ;D

You can also get a fitting that has a zerk on it for the outside threaded shaft. I have one on and it keeps the water out and well lubed.....
