My guess is that your dealing with condensation under the valve covers. It's such a minimal amount it will burn off. Keep a close eye on it, next time out take it for a spin, then idle around for a few minutes, check the dipstick immediately after that.

I had the same issue on a 434ci sbc and I fixxed it by putting two breathers in each valve cover. You can get creative and and have one breather in each and the other breather port you can tap into the headers and run steel braided line, or you can do nothing and not worry about it until you oil pan looks like milk but that will not happen from condensation in vale covers.

Sounds to me like it's normal. What temps does the motor run?

I use a 115 volt magnetic oil pan heater to heat the oil up. I bet if it was left on there for a while it would dry that up. I think it is thermostatically set for 250°F.

I would want it nice and dry before putting her away. Throw some Marvel Mystery oil in the there too. It inhibits rust quite well.
