I have owned my own Race and performance business for over 40 years, written over 50-60 magazine articles for several Performance car and boat magazines, had a tech column, still write for Industry only magazines, not monthly newsstand stuff. I was guilty of oversimplification in some statements. There is no reason for me to banter semantics with anyone. Refer to my last post: "It must be worth my time."
I will not post in this thread again, but in my defense, "over simplification" and just out right "incorrect information" has too large of a delta for me to let stand.
For anyone else on here, from now forward, I will only point out what is wrong with some information and it will go no further. Didn't mean to single anybody out.
I used to provide feedback for Mercury Marine back in the day for service bulletins and warranty procedures. I helped out Fineline Industries (makers of the Ski Centurion line of boats) with the first few Yamaha powered boats they built.
I came up with a fix for a problem that Yamaha Marine had with their inboard outboard line of marine engines that they struggled with for over two years (a mere lifetime when you consider how many engines they built).

It was worth my time because I am very passionate about doing it right or not at all. If the information is out there, it needs to be correct and concise. Otherwise it's just words.
The reason I joined this forum so many years ago is because there seemed to be some people on here with many of the same interests I had and noticed how many owners were struggling with something so simple. It was always second nature for me.
The only reason I posted my resume' is because you seemed to think it was necessary.
I don't doubt you have a ton of knowledge, that was never the point, you don't need to defend your character to me or anyone else, but these are smart folks on here, you are not going to be able to "phone one in".
Sorry I pooped in the sandbox folks...
Brad, sorry man..
