Life is always better at a Barr...Knowhatamean? Those Nicksons might as well be a two barrel carburetor.
Are the Nicsons Really that bad?Dan'l
God I love the Barr!
Center exhaust can be different and look niiice. Are you thinking thru transom or "over the top"?
Related to this topic...i think; is there a way to plumb the water so that it still goes into the manifolds but not out of the exhaust pipe? Does that make sense? Any performance to be gained. I have similar exhaust : MerCruiser center rise aluminum manifolds.I currently have stainless pipe coming out of the top with water plumbed into the pipes.
CP,Hardin Marine. Different sizes. Slip in from in side, exhaust hose holds them in place. Pricey, but pretty cool.
http://www.cpperformance.com/p-12576-4-internal-butterfly-style-rubber-replacement-exhaust-flapper.aspx4" Internal Butterfly Style Rubber Replacement Exhaust Flapper either 3.5" or 4" do those look right?
Unless you have "dry" pipes you literally have to run water through the outlets. I'm sure I am missing something in the question. No going with yes, but why? GTSent from my SCH-I545 using SoCal Jet Boats mobile app
Was thinking that by not routing water through exit pipe it might be louder and free up a little HP. I have two hoses coming from the top of manifolds dumping into exit pipes. Was thinking about just having those dump over the boat through an outlet fitting.... just thinking out loud. School me.
Through transom
