Wire for hire!
« on: July 10, 2013, 10:14:30 AM »
Wanted to share some of the work on my 74' Hallett cruiser... I am almost done with the wiring and have enjoyed throwing the 150lbs of old wire out and starting from scratch. I sware it had enough add on wire to do three boats! It was a BBQ waiting to happen when I picked it up two months ago.

I guess I should have been more specific.

Thanks fellas! I followed the ABYC wiring color codes which was a pain trying to get all the right colors and tinned 600v primary wire but now that it is done it was worth it. It is actually pretty cool to be able to look at any of the wiring anywhere on the boat and know exactly what it does because of the color coding.

Here are two links I used in case someone else is going be doing a rewire or troubleshoot.

http://www.boatwiring.org/boat-wiring-color-chart/

I also have vendors if anyone is having trouble finding suppliers. Let me know.

Cheers!
